Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a dealt with a standard 52 card deck and one Joker. Each player is dealt seven (7) cards. The object of the game is to make two (2) poker hands. One of the two hands is made up of five cards (called the High Hand), the other is the two card hand, (called the Low Hand). The five card hand must be better then the two card hand for instance, let’s assume that in the seven cards there are two (2) pairs a pair of 10’s and a pair of 9’s. You can play both pairs in the high hand if you wish or you can split the pairs. You cannot however put the pair of 10’s in the low hand because your high hand must be better than the low hand. High Chicago is just like regular seven-card stud, except the person with the best hand must share the pot with the person with the highest spade in the hole (so if you have the Ace of spades showing, it does you no good). Like Hi-low, High Chicago is a declare game in which players declare whether they are going for the high hand, high spade in the hole, or both. Tips And Strategy

Traditionalists believe that to open the poker betting in five-card draw a player should have at least a four-card flush, four-card straight, or a high pair. However, if betting is light and you are holding a small pair, a medium pair, or even two high cards, you might want to stay in for the next round. (A high pair is generally a pair of Jacks or higher; a pair of 7s, 8s, 9s or l0s would be considered a medium pair; and a pair of 6s or less is a small pair). Tips And Strategy

Stud Poker

Either of these scales gives everyone plenty of excuse to stay, so that practically the only time a poker player drops out is when he has two very low cards in different suits. Now, since people are playing liberally, anybody with an ace or king in the hole or a pair back to back is going to raise on the first card. As a result, by the time the later cards are dealt there is so much money in the pot that no one who sees any possible chance of winning is going to drop out, while the players who have a good chance are going to raise back and forth.
